Soffit form work to slab = 3 days

  1. Soffit to beam = after 7 days ( Props should be re fixed and props should be removed if span between 0 to 4.5 m  = 7 days
  2. If span is more than 4.5 m =14 days
  3. For arch up to 6 m = 14 m if more than 6 m then it will take = 21 days

Delivery

The delivery of the form work shall be done in such manner that damage can be prevented and where means of transpiration should be reach easily

Important points for Form work

  • Former shall be of wrought timber, steel, plywood, proprietary building boards and such special materials.Which give the required finish to the surface of concrete. Wooden formwork shall be free from loose knots and shall be wall seasoned.
  • Requirement for facing material are given in section relevant to finishing of formed surface. The maximum deflection of facing material reflected in concrete surfaces exposed to veiw shall be 1/240 of the span between structural members.
  • Where as-cast surface, including natural plywood-form-finish are specified, the panels of material against which concrete is cast shall be orderly in arrangement with joints between panels planned in approved relation to openings, building corners and other architectural features.
  • Forms shall not be re-used if there is any evidence of surface wear and tear. which would impair the quality of the surface finish. Forms shall be thoroughly cleaned and properly coated before  re-use.
